Auckland eastern bays

Websites for tradies who are busier than their website looks.

Most Auckland trade websites were built once, years ago, and never touched again. No form. No reviews. Nothing that ranks. Meanwhile the phone is the only thing still doing any selling. I fix that.

  • Plumbers
  • Gasfitters
  • Drainlayers
  • Electricians
  • Builders
  • Roofers
  • Painters
  • Landscapers
12Auckland plumbing companies audited across the eastern and central suburbs
7had no working way to request a job online. Phone or nothing.
5had websites untouched for more than five years. One since 2018.

I audited one trade properly rather than guessing at all of them. Plumbing is where I started — but every tradie I've shown this to says the same thing about their own patch.

Free review

Send me your website. I'll send back a video.

Two minutes, walking through your site, showing you where enquiries are getting lost. Yours to keep whether we work together or not.

No website yet? Say so in the form and I'll build you a preview homepage instead, so you can see what one would actually look like.

Auckland only. Usually reply the same day.

No newsletter, no follow-up sequence. One reply from a person.

Why this matters

A good tradie with a neglected website
loses work quietly.

Nobody rings to tell you they gave up on your site at 9pm and called the next name down the list. It just shows up as a slightly slower month.

01

The form is at the bottom, or missing

Someone standing in an inch of water is not scrolling. If the only way to reach you is a phone number and it's 9pm on a Sunday, they've already moved on.

02

Nothing ranks, because there's nothing to rank

One page can't compete for "hot water cylinder replacement Auckland" or "switchboard upgrade Auckland". Your competitors have a page for each service. Google has nothing of yours to show.

03

Twenty years of goodwill, invisible

Hundreds of happy customers and not one review on the site. Trade association badge buried in the footer. All that trust, doing no work.

What you get

Built to book jobs, not to win design awards.

Fast, plain, and built around the four or five things that actually make you money. No sliders, no stock photos of someone else's van, no "Our Journey" page.

  • A form above the fold that lands in your inbox and your phone, day or night.
  • A page per money service - hot water, switchboards, re-roofs, bathroom renos, whatever actually pays - so Google has something to rank.
  • Your reviews on the page, not hidden on Google. Plus your Master Plumbers, Master Electricians, Certified Builders or licence badges up top where they persuade.
  • Real photos of your work, your vans and your team. This alone beats most competitors in the area.
  • Loads in under a second on a phone with one bar. Most of your customers are outdoors and stressed.
  • Proper local SEO groundwork - schema markup, your suburbs done properly, Google Business Profile tidied up.
  • You own everything. Domain, hosting, content. No lock-in, no platform holding your site hostage.
How it works

Three steps. A week, or about three.

Step 01

Free review

I record a short video walking through your current site and show you exactly where jobs are leaking out. No site yet? I build you a preview homepage instead. You keep it either way. No call required, no obligation.

Step 02

Build

I write the copy, you supply photos or I arrange a photographer. You see it on a preview link before anything goes live. A week for a Get Found page, about three for a full build.

Step 03

Live, then looked after

I handle the domain, hosting and go-live. Then the care plan keeps it updated, backed up and current, so it doesn't end up five years stale like the last one. Included free for your first year on a full build.

Your options

Two ways in. Both quoted to your business.

I don't sell packages off a shelf, because no two trade businesses need the same thing. What I do is work out which of these two problems you've actually got, then put a fixed price in writing before any work starts. No hourly rates, no surprises at the end.

Option one

Get found

You're invisible. No website, or one that does nothing for you.

  • One page, mobile-first
  • Google Business Profile set up properly — this is the bit that wins "near me" searches
  • Enquiry form to your inbox and phone
  • Your reviews and licence badges
  • One round of changes
  • Live in about a week

  • Copywriting included — I interview you and write it properly
  • Local SEO and schema groundwork

Care plan

So it never goes stale again. Month to month, cancel any time.

  • Hosting, SSL and daily backups
  • Small content changes included
  • Uptime and form-delivery monitoring
  • Quarterly check-in and report
  • Priority when something breaks
  • First 12 months included free on a full build
A lighter version — hosting, SSL, backups and monitoring only — comes with a Get found page.

One fixed price. Half up front, half only when you're happy.

You get a single number in writing before I start — not an hourly rate and not an estimate that creeps. 50% deposit, 50% on go-live. If the finished site isn't better than what you've got, you don't pay the second half and you keep the work. No lock-in contract, no minimum term, and your domain is in your name from day one.

One gets you found. The other gets you chosen.

Two different problems. Most people only have one of them.

Photos Your existing phone photos I arrange a photographer
Reviews Link out to Google On the page, with badges up top
Online booking No Optional
Rounds of changes One Two
Timeline About a week About three weeks
Your time Half a day Roughly two weeks, on and off

Who it's for One or two people, phone-only, no site or a dead one Three or more staff, several services, capacity for more work

The difference isn't page count, it's which kind of search you win. Google Business Profile wins the emergency — someone panicking, tapping "near me", picking off the map. For a one-hand operation that's often all you need, and I'll tell you so. But "hot water cylinder replacement Auckland" or "re-roof quote Auckland" — bigger jobs, someone actively shopping and comparing — needs a page built for each one. That's structurally impossible on a single page, at any price.

Written for your business, not read off a list.

A one-hand operator who needs to show up on the map and a five-van team chasing commercial work are not the same job, so I don't pretend they cost the same. Tell me what you're dealing with and I'll price it properly.

What moves the number

  • How many services you want ranking. One page or ten — this is the biggest single factor.
  • Who writes the words. You send me notes, or I interview you and write it properly.
  • Photos. Your phone shots are fine. A photographer on site for half a day isn't free.
  • Online booking or quoting. Optional, and not worth it for every trade.
  • Moving an existing site, its content and its email across without breaking anything.
  • How fast you need it. Normal turnaround costs less than dropping everything.

How quoting works

  • 1. Tell me about the business. The form below, or just ring me. Two minutes.
  • 2. I look at what you've got and send you a short video walking through it. Free, yours to keep.
  • 3. A quick call — fifteen minutes — so I understand which jobs you actually want more of.
  • 4. Fixed price in writing within two working days. One number, itemised, no hourly rates.
  • 5. No obligation. If it's not worth it, say so and that's the end of it.

About

One person, deliberately.

I'm REPLACE_YOUR_NAME. I run Rangitoto Studio on my own, and that's a choice rather than a stage I'm hoping to grow out of. You deal with the person building the thing — not an account manager reading from a brief.

And you're not stuck if I get hit by a bus. Your domain is registered in your name. Your site is standard HTML that any web developer can pick up and edit. There's no proprietary platform and no login only I have. Wix and Squarespace can't say that.

I work with trades because it's where a decent website makes the most obvious difference. Someone with a burst pipe or a dead switchboard is the most motivated customer there is. They'll call the first business that looks like it will answer.

I'll tell you honestly if you don't need a new website. Two of the businesses I reviewed didn't, and I said so.

Straight answers

  • No lock-in contracts. The care plan is month to month.
  • You own your domain, in your name, from day one.
  • Fixed price, quoted in writing before I start.
  • I won't take on two competitors in the same patch.
  • Standard HTML, no platform lock-in. Any developer can take it over tomorrow.
Next step

Two minutes of your time. A video back from me.

I'll show you where enquiries are getting lost, or build you a preview homepage if you haven't got a site yet. Yours to keep either way, and there's nothing to sign.
